Hi, I didn't want to abuse the JVM Language Summit thread, so I figured I create a new one for events or conferences in general (also to avoid doing that elsewhere, e.g. F4 ;-)
They confirmed my participation, so please check the program for details. I plan to submit the same to ESE 2010 by Eclipse Foundation, too. Mostly general and SWT-related. So it won't keep anybody else from submission of F4, DLTK or similar sessions. Despite the fact, ScalaModules (to simiply OSGi-enable the language) is about to be terminated, I don't think the audience was too small or uninterested in this area.
Maybe DLTK should be the hangup, but presenting F4 as a use case sure won't hurt.

DevoXX does. Jodastephen has helped them with gathering Java improvement suggestions (some unheard by Oracle or Sun picked up by languages like Fantom instead;-) so he probably has best ties with them. Although I also "hitched" Stefan Janssen and IrishDev after epicenter.
Following an invitation by Eclipse, either Fantom and SWT or at least F4 Eclipse plugin may be showcased at JavaOne!! (unless Larry's lawyers object;-)

It's a bit of a long shot, but through a common friend I heard, James Gosling at least won't boycott JavaOne this year (like many others ;-) and may attend some social events.
If really given a few words, are there any questions regarding Fantom vs. Java you'd always wished James himself to ask if given the opportunity?! I cannot guarantee to ask all, but feel free to list them here if something comes to your mind.
