Greetings, everyone! The Fantom compiler is licensed under the Academic Free License version 3.0 which is non-copyleft. It is incompatible with the GPL. Can you switch to BSD/MIT for GPL compatibility?

Hello!
(I believe) It doesn't really matter to the likes of me which licence Fantom is released under, but I'm sure Brian and Andy had a reason for choosing the Academic Free Licence.
Is it inhibiting you in any way?

There are actually different views on compatibility with GPL. Are you creating a derivative work or just using the code? It would help if you discussed exactly what code you are using and how you want to use it.
