The DocWriters in fandoc, namely FandocDocWriter, HtmlDocWriter, and MarkdownWriter all have a very useful onLink field:

** Callback to perform link resolution and checking for
** every Link element
|Link link|? onLink := null

How about adding an onImage field?

** Callback to perform link resolution and checking for
** every Image element
|Image image|? onImage := null
