The docs for XAttr.name say:
Note that attributes which start with "xml:" are not treated as a namespace: xml:lang='en' => xml:lang XML:lang='en' => xml:lang
It'd be cool if the docs could be updated to mention that attributes which start with xmlns: are also not treated as a namespace.
