Hello,
On the back of the new core markdown pod, how about adding an entry for markdown files to ext2mime.props?
markdown
ext2mime.props
RFC-7763 - The text/markdown Media Type pens the mime type as:
text/markdown
While Iana suggests that a variant property may be added:
text/markdown; charset=UTF-8; variant=CommonMark
This StackOverflow post gives a nice summary of the mime types.
As for which extensions, there are many but nothing official that I could find; although .md and .markdown seem fairly respectable and well used.
.md
.markdown
good idea, I pushed that (I included charset since we use it for most other text types)
