It would be nice to have an alphabetized, search-as-you-type, drop-down list on the right of the tabs, like in Firefox or Eclipse.

I agree. It was my intention to basically work just like Firefox. Whats there now was the most minimal possible work to get it functional. Its my todo list unless someone else wants to tackle it in the meantime.
