Other than Sky Foundary is anyone using fantom in real-world, live applications or is it still mostly contained to utility and one off uses?

Well, for what is worth, this site is done in Fantom.
I don't get the title though. Why is Fantom in anger?

I think Brian and Andy's idea is to get to version 1.0 before they start marketing the language. Until you market it, no one will use it for anything except for the core developers.
Considering it hasn't been officially released yet, there's a relatively large amount of working software in the language. This site. The Franks' business. A few dozen toy apps. A few IDEs in early development. A handful of side projects by other members of the community. And compared to some other languages, the community loves the taste of its dogfood :)

To "use something in anger" is to use it earnestly - for example "a shot fired in anger" has the intent to kill, not just see what it's like to fire a gun...
